Colden Care: Residential care for separated children in Ireland
What We Do

What We Do

Person-centred care that meets every child where they are and helps them get to where they need to be.

01

Residential Care

Our homes provide 24/7 professional care in small group settings. Each young person has their own space, a daily routine, and a team of qualified care workers focused on their individual needs. These aren't just a place to stay. They're real homes where children can feel safe enough to start rebuilding their lives.

  • 24/7 qualified staff
  • Small group settings
  • Individualised care plans
  • Home-like environment
02

Key Worker Support

Every child is paired with a dedicated key worker, one consistent person who knows their story, advocates for their needs, and walks alongside them through every challenge. Key workers coordinate placement plans, attend meetings, and make sure the young person's voice is never lost in the system.

  • One-to-one relationships
  • Care plan coordination
  • Advocacy & representation
  • Consistent trusted adult
03

Cultural Integration

We don't ask any young person to leave who they are at the door. We support their language, food, faith, and cultural practices, and help them build connections in Ireland with local communities, diaspora groups, and peers.

  • Cultural identity support
  • Community connections
  • Faith & practice
  • Peer networks
04

Education Support

Learning English opens every other door, so it comes first. We prioritise English language support so each young person can take part in school and everyday life, working with local schools, ETBs, and support services to get them into the right education. Staff attend parent-teacher meetings, provide homework support, and push for any extra resources the young person needs.

  • School enrolment support
  • Homework & study help
  • Liaison with educators
  • Alternative learning pathways
05

Health & Wellbeing

Many of the children in our care carry the weight of trauma, displacement, and loss. We make sure their physical and health needs are met: GP registration, dental care, and specialist referrals, alongside access to therapeutic services for trauma, anxiety, and emotional distress. Physical activity, nutrition, and wellbeing are part of daily life.

  • Therapeutic support
  • Physical healthcare
  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Holistic wellbeing
